“An Evening of Giving & Music” to Feature Malika Haque and Mahbubul Haque, Supporting Healthcare, Housing and Humanitarian Initiatives
The Bangladesh Unity Federation of Los Angeles (BUFLA) is set to organize a special charity event aimed at supporting underprivileged and vulnerable communities through humanitarian assistance, healthcare services and social welfare initiatives.
Titled “A Meaningful Charity Event – Spreading Love,” the program will take place on Sunday, November 1, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Church of Scientology of the Valley, located at 11455 Burbank Boulevard, North Hollywood, California 91601.
The event will feature “An Evening of Giving & Music,” with performances by Malika Haque and Mahbubul Haque. Organizers are expecting the gathering to bring together members of the Bangladeshi-American community, philanthropists, cultural enthusiasts and supporters of humanitarian causes for an evening dedicated to generosity, compassion and community service.
Focus on Humanitarian and Community Support
According to the event announcement, BUFLA's charity project is continuing several ongoing initiatives designed to improve living conditions for disadvantaged individuals and families.
These initiatives include housing assistance, access to submersible water pumps, self-reliance programs, burial support, winter blanket distribution and assistance for distressed children.
In addition to these existing programs, the organization has announced a new healthcare support initiative focusing on people facing serious medical and mobility challenges.
The proposed healthcare assistance includes financial support for kidney dialysis patients, wheelchair assistance for individuals with mobility difficulties and eye-clinic support for visually impaired people.
Through these initiatives, BUFLA aims to extend its humanitarian activities beyond occasional charitable contributions and provide meaningful assistance to people facing economic, medical and social hardships.
Zakat Fund and Community Contributions
A key component of the event will be fundraising for the organization's Zakat Fund. The initiative is intended to encourage charitable contributions from community members and donors to support people in need.
Organizers are inviting individuals, families, businesses and philanthropic supporters to participate in the event and contribute toward the various humanitarian programs.
The charity dinner is scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM, while the overall event will continue until 10:00 PM.
Strengthening Community Responsibility
Charitable initiatives organized by diaspora communities play an important role in connecting people with humanitarian causes and extending support to disadvantaged populations. BUFLA's latest project seeks to bring community members together around a shared commitment to compassion, social responsibility and helping those who need assistance.
By combining fundraising, music and community engagement, the organization hopes to generate greater awareness and financial support for its ongoing and newly introduced projects.
With its message of spreading love through meaningful action, the November 1 charity event represents an effort to transform community generosity into practical support for vulnerable individuals and families.
