Bangladesh Ambassador meets Greek Migration Minister

Bangladesh Ambassador Nahida Rahman Sumana paid a courtesy call on the newly appointed Greek Minister of Migration and Asylum, Thanos Plevoris, at the Minister's office in Athens.

Ambassador Nahida Rahman Sumana extended her sincere congratulations and wishes of success to Greek Minister Thanos Plevoris in carrying out his new duties

The meeting discussed Greece's new immigration policy, facilities for Bangladeshi migrants, and various aspects of cooperation in immigration management. The ambassador highlighted the contribution of Bangladeshi workers to Greece's agriculture and other sectors. 

He said Bangladeshi workers are making an important contribution to the Greek economy.

Minister Thanos Plevris highly praised the dedication and hard work of the Bangladeshi community. He said that Bangladeshi workers are playing an important role in various economic sectors of Greece.

Both sides agreed to strengthen further cooperation in migration management between the two countries. They agreed to ensure the welfare of migrant workers.
