BUET Alumni's 'Biggest Morning Tea' in Sydney

BUET Alumni Australia's annual social initiative 'Biggest Morning Tea' was held at the Glenfield Community Hall in Sydney on Sunday, June 22. The initiative to raise funds for the Cancer Council was filled with the heartfelt participation of the expatriate BUET family.

The event turned into a joyful gathering in the warm atmosphere of the winter morning. The guests were treated to a feast of all the favorite Bengali foods. Paratha, luchi, vegetables, potato stew and chicken latpati were served. Delicious pitha, cakes, cupcakes and sweets brought from local shops were served for breakfast. For street food lovers, there were chatpati, haleem and sausage buns. And everything was accompanied by a hearty arrangement of hot tea and coffee.

Two renowned local doctors, Dr. Abdullah Al Mamun and Dr. Mujahid Hasan, were present as special guests at the event. They emphasized on increasing awareness about cancer and gave valuable advice to all present. They especially shed light on how to be alert in advance to prevent certain types of cancer.

The organizers said that all proceeds from the event will be donated to the Cancer Council Australia fund. This event is a regular social initiative of BUET Alumni Australia, through which they not only raise funds, but also strengthen mutual bonds among the BUET family living abroad
