Dhaka University Alumni Association Annual Dinner in New York

The Dhaka University Alumni Association USA (DUAA) Annual Dinner was held on December 6 at the Gulshan Terrace Auditorium in Woodside, New York City.

The event, chaired by the organization's president SM Alam and moderated by General Secretary Rahul Amin Sarkar, featured speeches by former students of Dhaka University, including Sayeed-ur-Bor, founding president of the alumni association Dr. Chowdhury Sarwarul Hasan, Nasir Ali Khan Paul, Murshed Alam, senior vice-presidents of the organization Mohiuddin Dewan, Azizul Haque Munna, Mohammad Hossain Khan, Molla Moniruzzaman, convener of the annual dinner Abul Kalam Azad Talukder, member secretary Yusuf Ali, and journalist Md. Abul Kashem.

US Supreme Court Attorney Moin Chowdhury, Bangladesh Society General Secretary Mohammad Ali, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University President Syed Mizanur Rahman spoke as invited guests at the event. The President of the Chittagong University Alumni Association and the General Secretary of the Jahangirnagar University Alumni Association also delivered welcome speeches.

There was a pleasant cultural program at the event. It was jointly conducted by the organization's former general secretary Golam Mostafa and cultural secretary, Shamsun Nahar Nupur. The sons and daughters of the organization's members performed national songs at the event. Golam Mostafa and Azizul Haque Munna recited poems.
