Discussion meeting to improve the quality of Bangla language education for students in Canada

A discussion meeting was held at the Bangla School of the Bangladesh Canada Association of Calgary to improve the quality and activities of Bangla education among young students growing up in Canada, including learning and writing the Bengali language.

In addition to Bengali language education, the parents requested that the authorities include various cultural subjects and enjoyable activities alongside education to continue the indigenous cultural trend among the students.

The proposal to use both Bengali and English languages, if necessary, to facilitate the understanding of complex historical or cultural content was also accepted in the discussion. The need for urgent technology, such as laptops and projectors, for schools also arose in the discussion.

The speakers said, "Our young children will be the ones to showcase our history, tradition, and culture in Canada in the coming days. The more our future generations are connected to our native language and culture, the more our red and green flag will remain high on foreign soil."

The meeting was attended by Bangladesh Canada Association of Calgary (BCAC) President Iqbal Rahman, the organization's Education Secretary Dr. Delwar Hossain, Calgary Bangla School Principal Md. Asjad Hossain and Co-Principal Mohammad Raihan. Sohel Mahbubul Karim, Md. Zahirul Islam, Alamgir Hossain, Javed Iqbal, Omar Shams, Md. Baharul Alam Jewel, Md. Ali Azam, Nazmun Gafur Suborna and Sultanul Alam Taipur, among others, participated in the discussion on behalf of the guardians.
