A new organization, 'Bangladeshi Professionals', has been launched to facilitate the fulfillment of the American dream by increasing harmony and coordination among Bangladeshi professionals living in the United States. Bangladesh Society President Ataur Rahman Selim inaugurated the organization on Saturday at the Alo Jhalmal Auditorium in Gulshan Terrace, adjacent to Jackson Heights, New York City.
Sheikh Enamul Kabir, president of the newly formed organization, said, "We all want to rise above party differences and join a network with the identity of Bangladeshis. We will have activities on social media, as well as online and print media. Through mutual cooperation, no goal will be impossible for us in a multinational society."
Bangladesh Society Secretary Mohammad Ali, Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani's transition team member Md. Shamsul Haque, community leaders Engineer Mohammad Fazlul Haque, Lion Ahsan Habib, businessman Salam Bhaiya, and New York Taxi Workers Alliance leader Tipu Sultan delivered welcome speeches at the event.
Assemblywoman Jennifer Rajkumar presented a special certificate of appreciation on behalf of the New York State Assembly, wishing the organization prosperity.
Present were the organization's Vice President, Sayeed M. Alam; journalist Abu Taher; Dr. Wazed A. Khan; Rashed Ahmed; and Hasan Mahmud. The program was hosted by Nausheen Nehrin Mou and ended with musical performances by Parvez Sajjad, Ronti Das and Gazi Salahuddin.
