Chittagong Club Australia holds preparatory meeting to make Spring Fair a success

Extensive preparations have begun to make the upcoming Chittagong Club Australia Inc.'s 'Spring Fair 2026' a success, as one of the most attractive events for the Bangladeshi and larger multicultural community living in Sydney. This colorful day-long festival is going to be held at the Fairfield Showgrounds in Sydney on October 11.

To ensure the successful and orderly completion of the event, a preparatory meeting was held at the Syed Partners office in Minto on Friday (August 7) ​​at 7 pm. The meeting was attended by executive members of Chittagong Club Australia, sponsors, community partners and relevant members of the organizing committee.

The meeting discussed in detail various important issues including the overall plan of the Spring Fair, distribution of responsibilities for various activities, stall management, sponsorship, volunteer coordination, security measures, and facilities for visitors.

At the time, speakers said that this year's Spring Fair 2026 is not just an entertainment event; rather, it will become a significant multicultural gathering in Sydney by bringing people from different cultures and communities together on the same platform.

Saif Chowdhury, President of Chittagong Club Australia, thanked the sponsors, community partners and all concerned present at the meeting for their sincere cooperation.

He said, "This festival is not just for entertainment. One of our goals is to strengthen mutual bonds by bringing different cultures and communities on the same platform. We are hopeful that this year's event will be even bigger and more successful with everyone's combined efforts."

Syed Akram Ullah, executive member of Chittagong Club Australia, said that special arrangements have been made for children and families during this year's festival. There will be free rides for children from morning to afternoon. In addition, there will be a parental place considering the convenience of parents bringing children.

He also said that the festival, which is almost a week before Durga Puja, will also create a good shopping opportunity for expatriate Bangladeshis. According to the information provided by the organizers, the Spring Fair will be held at the Fairfield Showground on October 11 from 11 am to 10 pm. This year's festival will attract more than 15,000 visitors. The organizers hope that the festival will become more diverse with the participation of people from different ethnic groups in addition to the Bangladeshi community.

Chittagong Club Australia Treasurer Sadia Haque said that the Spring Fair will feature various stalls of local and foreign food, clothing and retail stalls, exhibitions of various products and services, and colorful cultural performances. There will also be various entertainment programs to enjoy with family members.
