A delightful cultural program was held in Toronto, Canada, to mark Bangladesh's 54th Victory Day, and the play 'Ora Jege Ache' was staged by Mac Theater.
The play was staged at St. Patrick's Catholic Secondary School in Toronto on Saturday (November 29).
The play 'Ora Jege Ache' is based on the story of a freedom fighter. The play highlights various incidents that happened to the freedom fighter during the Liberation War. Awakening songs were performed before the play.
The drama stars Sirajul Quader Raju, Aryan Haque, Ariful Islam Rana, Ujjal Dev, Tania Noor, Aditi Fouzia and Mac Azad.
Manas Roy wrote the original story of the play, and the adaptation and direction were by Mac Azad. Additionally, there was a musical ensemble called 'Jagraner Gaan' featuring artists residing in Canada. Hawaiian guitarist Enamul Kabir and artists from the Rabindra Sangeet Shilpi Sangstha participated. The dance performance was by Priyanjana Roy Chowdhury and her 'Nritya-Padakshep' team.
The organizers said that this event is to preserve and continue the practice of our history and traditions among the new generation.
