A special prayer meeting has been held in Canada to pray for the forgiveness of the souls of those who died in the plane crash at Uttara's Milestone School and for the speedy recovery of the injured. The prayer was organized at the Baitul Mukarram Islamic Centre in Calgary, Canada, under the initiative of the Bangladesh Canada Association of Calgary.
At this time, the association's president, Iqbal Rahman, and general secretary, Asif Hossain, along with members of the expatriate Bangladeshi community in Calgary, were present.
In addition, in a statement, the Bangladesh Canada Association of Calgary said, "We pray for the forgiveness of the souls of those who lost their lives in the plane crash in Bangladesh and express our deepest condolences to the bereaved families. Through the prayer mahfil, we pledge to stand by the people of our country even from abroad in this day of sorrow and hardship."
The speakers at the prayer mahfil advised the concerned authorities to be more aware and responsible so that such accidents do not happen again. At the same time, prayers were also offered for the speedy recovery of the injured. At the end of the ceremony, a moment of silence was observed in memory of the deceased and injured.
