Soumya Boroha, a Member of Parliament (Seat-4) elected from the Seine-Saint-Denis constituency in France and a member of the Parliament's Committee on Culture and Education, said that we must play a role in building a fraternal society based on the ideals of Islam.

He made this statement in his speech as the chief guest at a gathering and iftar party organized by the Bangladeshi Community Mosque and Islamic Center in France. 

The event was chaired by Khandaker Hossain, Senior Vice President of Bangladesh Community Mosque and Islamic Center, and moderated by Assistant Secretary General Mohammad Nurul Islam. Mayor of Sta Commune Azedin Taibi spoke as a special guest.

In addition, the event was also addressed by SDRM 93 co-representative Sor Elodie Blundell, Wilhelm Quandre, the diocesan-level service department for maintaining relations with the church's Muslim community, Bangladesh Community Mosque and Islamic Center treasurer Kamrul Hasan, and community figure Jalal Ahmed.

Also present at the event were Abul Khair Laskar, President of Bangladeshi Citizens Council France, Mohammad Mahbub Hossain, Coordinator of France Bangladesh Journalists Association FBJA and France correspondent of Dainik Nayadiganta, Kazi Habibur Rahman, General Secretary of Bangladesh Community Mosque and Islamic Center, community figure Shahidul Islam, and activist Khan Khaled Mahmud. Ahmadul Islam, Imam of the mosque and teacher of the madrasa, discussed the importance and significance of Ramadan at the event.
