A grand Eid reunion event was organized by the Women and E-Commerce Trust (WE) Malaysia Chapter, an organization of women entrepreneurs. Amidst the busyness, distance, and loneliness abroad, such an event became a unique reflection of friendship, love, mutual respect, and celebration. It was like a piece of Bangladesh on Malaysian soil.
On Saturday evening (June 14), more than fifty expatriate women entrepreneurs from different places spontaneously joined the Eid reunion program at the event room of the Green Residency Condominium in Cheras, near the capital, Kuala Lumpur. Their lively presence made the program more colorful. At this time, the expatriate women entrepreneurs shared the joy of Eid.
At the beginning of the Eid reunion program, Rakiba Riaz Tina, Malaysia's head of the Women and E-Commerce Trust (WE), delivered a brief speech.
At that time, he said, "Women are not sitting still even in exile. They are working in their busy lives while managing the family. Today, through We, women in exile are becoming self-reliant."
The We organization mainly works for the welfare of women. Under the shadow of this organization, expatriate women will stand by each other, become self-confident and self-reliant. Therefore, they always wish that every woman can move forward by holding the hand of We.
The Eid reunion program served a variety of delicious local foods and desserts, which reminded everyone of their mother's cooking and the special taste of Eid. A warm atmosphere of lively chats, heartfelt greetings, and bonding between new and old expatriates was created. For many, the day became a unique opportunity to experience Bangladesh from the heart, even abroad.
