Extensive preparations underway in America to celebrate Shaheed Zia's martyrdom anniversary

On the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of martyred President Ziaur Rahman, prayer and discussion meetings will be held in various cities of the United States on Friday, May 30. There is also a program to distribute Tabarak. 

Under the initiative of the New York State BNP, a prayer mahfil and a discussion meeting on the life of the founder-chairman of BNP will start at 4 pm at Diversity Plaza in Jackson Heights. It will continue till 8 pm. In the meantime, Tabarak will be distributed among thousands of people, said the organization's Senior Vice President, Jasimuddin (VP). BNP International Secretary Anwar Hossain Khokon will be the chief guest at the discussion meeting. Gias Ahmed, one of the members of the BNP Central Committee, will inaugurate the program, and Zillur Rahman Zillu, another member of the Central Committee, will be the guest of honor. Mustafa Kamal Pasha Babul, former General Secretary of the US BNP, will speak as a special guest. It is learnt that leaders and activists from all walks of life, led by State BNP President Maulana Aliullah Atiqur Rahman and General Secretary Sayedur Rahman Sayed, are working together to make this grand event a grand success. this occasion, a non-partisan social organization called 'Jackson Heights Locals' has announced a program to hold a prayer meeting and distribute Tabarak in front of the Nabanna Restaurant on Bangladesh Street in Jackson Heights on the same afternoon, after Asr. 

It is reported that prayer mahfils and discussion meetings will also be held in states such as New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Connecticut, Virginia, Maryland, Washington, DC, Florida, Georgia, California, Texas, etc., on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of martyred President Ziaur Rahman.
