The 'Bangladesh CIP Business Association UAE' has been launched in the United Arab Emirates. This new organization has been formed by the elected Commercially Important Persons or CIP honorees of the 2025-26 session.
A meeting was held at a restaurant in Dubai on Friday night under the chairmanship of Zulfiqar Osman, President of CIP and ABBA Bangladesh Business Association. The meeting unanimously formed an 11-member convening committee with CIP Mohammad Rubel Hossain as the convener and CIP Mohammad Selim Uddin as the member secretary.
These expatriate entrepreneurs have planned a joint investment to establish a Bangladesh school in Dubai and build an international-standard hospital in Bangladesh.
Former editor of ATN Bangla and editor of Duniyar Golpo, Keramatullah Biplob, spoke at the event. Besides, CIP Nazrul Islam, Mahbubul Alam, Manjurul Haque, Shamsuzzaman, Mohammad Mohiuddin, Mohammad Ilias Hossain, businessman Riazul Islam Fihan, Mahmudul Islam Ferdous, Mainul Islam, Enamul Haque and others were present.
At the time, speakers said that if this initiative is implemented, it will not only make an important contribution to the country's education and health sectors but will also open up new horizons for increasing expatriate investment.
The meeting decided to welcome the new CIPs, publish a commemorative magazine, and form a full-fledged executive committee within the next month. At the same time, it was decided to prepare a list of 100 investors, consisting of CIPs and businessmen, and send a joint investment proposal to the Bangladesh government.
