A colorful Eid fair was held on Saturday, May 24, to mark Eid al-Adha at the Michael Clarke Recreation Center in Cairns Hill, Liverpool, Sydney, Australia.

Organized by the expatriate Bangladeshi women's organization 'Aussie Bangla Sisterhood', the fair turned into a lively social festival, where the event, which lasted from 2 pm to 10 pm, was full of various activities.

The fair, which was popular with expatriate Bangladeshis, had over 65 stalls, most of which were run by Bangladeshi women entrepreneurs. The stalls, which sold local clothing, handicrafts, jewelry, henna, and a variety of delicious foods, became a bustling center for Eid shopping.

There were special events for children to enjoy, such as face painting and attractive toy stalls, which turned the fair into a family entertainment center.

The fair was supervised by the organization's founder, Jannat Ferdous. He inspected the stalls and exchanged greetings with the participants. The participants highly appreciated the perfect management of the fair and the clean and tidy environment.

Not only from New South Wales, but also from other states in Australia, the event was attended by many. It became a large social gathering, where expatriates shared the joy of Eid with each other. Local food, traditional clothing, closeness to loved ones - all of it brought a piece of Bangladesh to the land of Sydney.

The most unique attraction of the fair was a contest where the winner received a goat as a prize! This unique event generated great enthusiasm and laughter among the visitors present.

This Eid fair will not only be a place for shopping, but also a shining example of the culture, unity and celebration of the Bangladeshi diaspora. This is undoubtedly a memorable day in the history of the Bangladeshi community in Sydney.
