New committees of Bangladesh Business Association Amadora and Sintra in Portugal

'Today's pledge will be repeated again and again, our right to protect security will be ours' - keeping this slogan in mind, the 'Bangladesh Business Association Amadora Sintra' was formed by expatriate Bangladeshi businessmen from Amadora and Sintra, Portugal.

On September 29, in a local hall in Amadora, 180 local businessmen came together to form a 17-member executive committee with Md. Mazharul Islam Jiku as president, Belal Ahmed as general secretary, and Shashi as organizing secretary to protect the interests of expatriate Bangladeshi businessmen and to promote business development and prosperity. This new business organization was formed to ensure the unity, security, and development of expatriate Bangladeshi businessmen living in Amadora and Sintra City Corporations in Portugal.

Dr. M. Mahfuzur Haque, Ambassador of the Bangladesh Embassy in Portugal, was the chief guest at the launch event of the organization formed by businessmen under the lively leadership of Manjurul Islam.

In addition, community figures from Lisbon, Portugal, Abu Nayem, Professor Abu Said, Rony Mohammad, Mosharraf Hossain, Zubair Hossain, Shah Jahan, Helal Uddin, Hafiz Al Asad, and others were also present.

Portuguese and Bangladeshi community figures Rana Taslim Uddin and Shah Alam Kajal were present as special guests. At the beginning of the discussion, the chief guest was welcomed with a crest of honor by the organization.

At the beginning of the discussion meeting, the organization's vice presidents, Shoaib Hossain Sagar and Abdul Alim, delivered welcome speeches about the organization's goals and objectives.

The organization stated that it was formed to unite everyone, protect the safety and interests of businessmen, and safeguard the interests of Bangladeshi businessmen in the recent incidents of attacks and looting of various business establishments in those areas. In addition, the members of the organization consider that staying by each other's side while living abroad is our greatest achievement.
