Workshop and fair organized for expatriate women entrepreneurs in Lisbon

For the first time, a colorful entrepreneurship fair and cultural program has been organized in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, with the participation of expatriate Bangladeshi women entrepreneurs, organized by the Bangladesh Embassy in Lisbon and the Junta de Belém of Lisbon. 

At the event, expatriate women entrepreneurs living in Lisbon, Portugal, showcased their handmade products, creative works, and various business ideas at the fair.

Charge d'Affaires of the Bangladesh Embassy, Laila Montazeri Dina, was present as the chief guest at the event. Also present were the Bangladesh Embassy Chief SM Golam Sarwar, the Ambassadors of Cabo Verde and Ukraine, diplomatic personnel from various countries, local government representatives, community figures, and expatriate Bangladeshis.

The speakers at the event, in their speeches, highly praised the self-reliance, creativity and participation of expatriate women entrepreneurs in economic activities. They said that such an event would not only further enrich the culture and heritage of Bangladeshis living abroad in Europe, but also open up new possibilities for women entrepreneurs.

The event was graced with displays of local products, traditional food stalls, and captivating cultural performances that captivated the audience. The spontaneous participation of expatriate Bangladeshis brought the entire event to life.

The organizers said that such events will be continued in the future to encourage and support expatriate women entrepreneurs, and at the end of the fair, local songs, dances, and traditional puppet dances of Bangladesh were presented to highlight the culture of Bangladesh.
