Sabrina Mahmud, who grew up in America, is working as a senior director at TIAA, a multinational insurance and investment bank with assets of 1.7 trillion dollars and more than 19 thousand employees. Her name is on the list of managing directors of the company. Sabrina has been talented since childhood and has left her mark in every class of school, college, and university. Still, she did not want to become a doctor or engineer. Her parents did not pressure her to become a doctor/engineer either. That is, if you take higher education in addition to a doctorate/engineering with special achievements, it is not difficult to show your excellence in addition to a hugely lucrative job.
Sabrina Mahmud's father, Professor Dr. Golam Matabar, Dean of Monmouth University in New Jersey and Vice President of the International Association of Schools of Social Work, presented this information at a seminar on youth development organized by the Foundation for a Better World in New York on July 11. Dr. Matabar was the keynote speaker at the workshop under the slogan 'Build a Better Tomorrow Together' and assured all the young people present by telling them about the progress of his only child. Because other speakers at the seminar expressed the opinion that most Bangladeshi and South Asian parents put pressure on their children to become doctors/engineers. Otherwise, many parents believe that the child's life is in vain. Many children feel embarrassed under such pressure and are deprived of the opportunity to build a life of their own.
