BNP celebrates its 47th founding anniversary in Greece

A discussion meeting and cultural program were held in Greece to commemorate the 47th anniversary of the founding of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). The program, organized by the Greece BNP Convening Committee on Monday evening local time, was presided over by the organization's chief convener, Faruk Mia, and moderated by member secretary Ashraf Uddin Thakur Tipu.

At the beginning of the meeting, former General Secretary of Greece BNP Aminul Haque Sufi led the recitation of the Quran and prayers. Speeches were delivered by Bangladesh Community President and former President of Greece BNP Anwar Hossain Dewan, former President of Bangladesh Community and joint convener of Greece BNP Tajul Islam, Jasim Uddin, Hafez Ahmed, Idris Ali Aziz, Moktar Hossain, and others.

The speakers called for further strengthening the BNP under the leadership of martyred President Ziaur Rahman's ideals, national leader Begum Khaleda Zia, and acting chairman Tarique Rahman.

After the discussion, a pleasant cultural performance was held. Members of the Jisa Shyam and Doel organizations performed songs. Earlier, Bangladeshi students who grew up in Greece participated in a drawing competition of Begum Khaleda Zia and Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman. After the competition, prizes were distributed among the winners.
