Monowar was elected president, and Momin was elected editor of the New York Bangladesh Press Club

Monowarul Islam and Mominul Islam Majumder have been re-elected as president and general secretary of the New York Bangladesh Press Club, an organization of Bangladeshi journalists living in the United States. 94 out of 105 active members of the club exercised their voting rights in this election.

The executive committee election began at 3:30 pm on Saturday (November 8) and continued until 6 pm.

In addition, Abidur Rahim, Rashid Ahmed and Mostafizur Rahman were elected unopposed as vice president, treasurer and publicity and office secretary, respectively.

In the subsequent elections, veteran journalist Moin Uddin Naser served as the Chief Election Commissioner. The other two members of the commission were ABM Saleh Uddin and Chowdhury M Ali Kajal.

The other officials elected to the executive committee of the New York Bangladesh Press Club are vice president Abidur Rahim (freelance), joint general secretary Mahathir Khan Farooqui (NTV), treasurer Rashid Ahmed (York Bangla), organizing secretary Syed Ilias Khosru (Time Television), publicity and office secretary Mostafizur Rahman (Weekly Jugantor).

The executive members are Sheikh Sirajul Islam (Bangla Patrika), Rawshan Haque (Prothom Alo), Faruk Hossain (Freelance) and Shah Ahmed (Awaz BD).
