Discussion in Australia highlights Khaleda Zia's role in the country's democratization

A discussion and seminar have been held in Australia to highlight the historic role of Begum Khaleda Zia, the uncompromising leader and three-time former Prime Minister, in Bangladesh's democratization. 

Zia Parishad Australia organized the seminar and discussion meeting on Sunday (January 25) at the Rural Function Centre in Sydney. The event was presided over by Zia Parishad Australia President, Md. Kamruzzaman Molla Jhintu, and moderated by the organization's General Secretary, Mohammad Khairul Kabir Pintu.

The main discussants and speakers at the discussion meeting were BNP Australia President Mosleh Uddin Howlader Arif, former General Secretary Liaquat Ali Swapan, General Secretary Mohammad Abul Hasan, Senior Vice President AKM Fazlul Haque Shafiq, Dr. Abdul Wahab Bakul, Organizing Secretary ANM Masum, Yunus Center's Prometheus Siddiqui, New South Wales BNP President Mohammad Irfan Khan, Deputy Treasurer Tanbir Ahmed Khan, and Publicity and Office Secretary Engineer Rahan Hasnat.

At the beginning of the program, BNP Australia Joint General Secretary Mohammad Quddusur Rahman led the recitation and prayer from the Holy Quran. Also present were Jubo Dal Australia General Secretary Mohammad Zakir Hossain Raju, BNP Australia Publicity Secretary Lintas Perera, New South Wales BNP Vice President Mohammad Babul Khandaker, Mohammad Shahidullah, Mohammad Rashed Khan, Tofazzal Hossain, Engineer Azam Mohiuddin, Mohammad Shahed, and leaders from various levels of BNP and its affiliates.
