National Revolution and Solidarity Day was celebrated in Calgary, Canada

The National Revolution and Solidarity Day was celebrated at the Bangladesh Centre in Calgary, Canada, under the initiative of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP Alberta branch. A discussion meeting and dinner were organized on the occasion.

BNP Central Committee International Secretary Anwar Hossain Khokon was the chief guest at the event via video conference.

Khandaker Abdul Ahad, President of Canada BNP West, was the main speaker in the video conference. And Mohd. Mujibur Rahman, General Secretary of Canada BNP West, was the special guest in the video conference.

The event was hosted by Mehedi Hasan Rony, chaired by Sarkar Mohammad Shaheen, the convener of Alberta BNP in Canada.

The speakers at the discussion said that on the historic 7th of November 1975, the people foiled the conspiracy of imperialism. The rise of the statesman martyr President Ziaur Rahman through the revolution of the sepoys and the people was a historic turning point for the country. After the July coup, various attempts and conspiracies are now underway to destroy democracy.

The speakers also said, "Let us, under the leadership of public leader Tarique Rahman, be inspired by the spirit of November 7 and further unite and build the nationalist force both in the diaspora and abroad."

Saiful Alam Mission, Anwarul Karim Hiru, and Mohammad Ripon Rashid also spoke at the event.

Also present were Obaidur Rahman, Anisul Kabir, Mohammad Naim, Saiful Islam, Sayedul Haque, and others.
