3 Bangladeshis from the same family murdered in Italy, Noakhali in mourning

Three members of the same family from Companiganj Upazila of Noakhali were stabbed to death by miscreants at their home on the outskirts of the Italian capital, Rome. Another member of the family was seriously injured in the incident. Meanwhile, a shadow of mourning has descended on the village home of the deceased.

The murder took place at around 8 pm local time on Friday (June 26) in an apartment on Via Montilio in the Casalotti area of ​​Rome.

The deceased are Kamal Uddin Babul, son of Sirajul Islam, a resident of Ward No. 5 of Charkankara Union in Companiganj Upazila, his wife Arju Begum and their five-year-old daughter Arwa Islam Arisha. Babul's 20-year-old son Amir Hossain Ayan was seriously injured in the incident. He has been rescued and admitted to the local Gemeli Polyclinic Hospital.

Afnan Hossain Naim, a relative of the deceased Kamal Uddin Babul, said that around 8 pm local time, some miscreants entered Babul's flat. Then they stabbed Babul, his wife and baby daughter indiscriminately. Ayan was outside at the time of the incident. Later, when he returned home and entered the room, he saw the bloody scene. The miscreants also stabbed him and seriously injured him while they were fleeing.

Hearing Ayan's screams, people nearby came forward to rescue the four and took them to a local hospital. There, the on-duty doctor Kamal Uddin Babul, his wife Arju Begum and daughter Arwa Islam Arisha were declared dead. The injured Ayan is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Meanwhile, as news of the tragic incident reached the country, mourning began in the village homes of the deceased in Charkankara of Companiganj upazila of Noakhali. An atmosphere of deep grief and pain prevails among relatives and local residents.

In this regard, Companyganj Police Station OC Md. Nurul Hakim said, "We have learned about the matter locally. Police will be sent to the village homes of the deceased and necessary inquiries will be made."
