Dhaka University Alumni Association's annual banquet in Calgary, Canada on August 29

The annual banquet is being organized by the Dhaka University Alumni Association Calgary, Canada Branch, an organization of former students of Dhaka University, known as the Oxford of the East. The main goal of this gathering, organized at Carstairs Park near Calgary, is to highlight the country's own ethnic identity in the diaspora and spread the country's traditions and culture among the new generation.

Former students and their family members will participate in this day-long festival. Along with delicious food, songs and lively chats, they will reminisce about the golden days spent at TSC, Madhur Canteen, Kala Bhavan or in front of Aparajeyo Bangla. Memories of the campus youth, the bond of friendship and the sweet and sour rule of their beloved teachers will come up in everyone's stories.

The organizers said that this initiative is to bring back the familiar atmosphere of the university in the mechanical life of the expatriate. This will create a joyful atmosphere for the interaction of senior and junior alumni.
