TAMPA, FL — Preparations are well underway for the 7th World Fair & Fest, a two-day international cultural and community event scheduled for December 12–13, 2026, at the Sheraton Tampa Brandon Hotel in Tampa, Florida.
Following six successful editions, organizers say the upcoming festival is being planned on a larger and more engaging scale, with participation expected from Bangladeshi and other South Asian communities across North America.
The two-day event will feature a diverse lineup of activities, including a book fair, literary sessions, seminars, children's programs, cultural performances, business networking and international cultural exchanges. Organizers say the festival will provide a platform for families, young people, entrepreneurs, artists and community leaders to come together under one roof.
A Celebration of Culture and Community
A major attraction of this year's festival will be its cultural program, featuring performances by popular artists, including Sanjay, Rituparna, Mukta Majumder and Bindu Kona, along with other local performers. Popular Bangladeshi actor Apurba and DJ Sanjay are also expected to take part in the event.
The organizers have also placed special emphasis on engaging the younger generation. Various activities and programs will be arranged for children, creating opportunities for them to participate in cultural and educational events while connecting with the broader community.
The festival's guiding theme is “Network, Partnership, Cultural Exchange, Share & Learn,” reflecting its broader objective of building connections among communities, professionals and organizations.
International Business and Cultural Summit
Alongside the cultural programs, the International Business & Cultural Summit will bring together successful business leaders and entrepreneurs from different cities across Florida.
Organizers say exhibitors will have opportunities to promote their products and connect with potential customers and business partners. Vendor spaces will also be available, including opportunities for food vendors to showcase a variety of cuisines.
The festival's organizers have invited interested businesses and exhibitors to participate and take advantage of the event's networking and promotional opportunities.
Strong Participation Expected
Organizers expect participation from expatriate communities across North America, with a particular focus on bringing together young talents, community leaders, entrepreneurs and cultural personalities.
World Fest Inc. President Tarek Mahmud, who is among the event's organizers, said the seventh edition would introduce several new elements while responding to the changing interests and expectations of the community. He also noted that a number of experienced organizers and mainstream community activists are becoming involved in the event.
The event will also feature local civic and community leaders, while actor Shahidul Islam Satchu is serving as Cultural Chairman.
Preparations Underway
A preparation meeting held in Tampa on September 27 brought together members of the organizing and host committees. During the meeting, organizers discussed the formation and responsibilities of eight subcommittees tasked with overseeing different aspects of the festival.
Organizers emphasized the importance of involving local expatriate communities and recognizing talented individuals from across North America. They also encouraged community members in different cities to participate in upcoming preparatory meetings.
With the December event approaching, the organizing committee says it is working to make the 7th World Fair & Fest a memorable celebration of culture, community, business and international friendship.
The 7th World Fair & Fest will take place December 12–13, 2026, at the Sheraton Tampa Brandon Hotel in Tampa, Florida.
