Ekushey Mela, Book Fair Evaluation Meeting and Iftar Held in Sydney

A discussion meeting and an iftar dinner were organized to review the overall arrangements of the Ekushey Mela and Book Fair held in Campbelltown, Sydney on February 14, on the occasion of International Mother Language Day. The meeting was organized by the Sydney-based social organization Subcontinent Friends of Campbelltown.

The meeting was held at the Zamindar Bari Restaurant in Sydney on Wednesday (March 11) at 6 pm. After the meeting, an iftar and dinner were organized in honor of the guests present.

Campbelltown City Councilor Masud Chowdhury was present as the chief guest at the meeting. Freedom fighter Mizanur Rahman Torun was present as the special guest.

The event was attended by organizers, volunteers, and various community members associated with the Ekushey Mela and Book Fair. The meeting discussed the experience and success of this year's event and the successful organization of the upcoming Ekushey Mela to be held on February 6, 2027.

At the event hosted by Kishore Akhter, Councilor Masud Chowdhury presented honorary crests and certificates to volunteers and sponsors on behalf of the organization. 

In his speech, he said that the organization's initiative to build an international mother tongue monument in the Campbelltown area is highly commendable. He said that this monument construction project will now be implemented through the council as a federal government project.
