Sydney, Australia: The Sydney Women’s Forum is set to celebrate the vibrant spirit of spring with a colourful cultural event, titled “Spring Festival 2026”, bringing together members of the Bangladeshi community for a day of joy, entertainment, food and cultural activities.

The event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at 12:00 noon at Granville Community Hall in Sydney. Organised by the Sydney Women’s Forum, the celebration aims to promote Bengali culture, strengthen community bonds and provide an opportunity for families and friends to enjoy the festive atmosphere together.

The programme will feature a variety of delicious traditional dishes, along with lively spring-themed songs and dances. Organisers hope the celebration will offer guests an opportunity to reconnect with their cultural roots while enjoying the beauty and spirit of the Bengali spring season.

Participants are encouraged to attend wearing traditional yellow attire, with yellow sarees for women and yellow Punjabi outfits for men, reflecting the colours and festive traditions associated with spring.

The organisers have invited members of the community, families and well-wishers to participate and make the celebration a memorable occasion. The event is being coordinated by Bilkis Jahan, Sathi Khan and Nilufa Yasmin on behalf of the Sydney Women’s Forum.

Through this initiative, the forum seeks to celebrate cultural diversity, encourage community participation and keep Bengali traditions alive among expatriate Bangladeshis in Australia.
