The two-day Toronto Bangla Book Fair came to an end amidst festive and colorful arrangements. A large number of book lovers, writers, publishers, children, teenagers, and men and women gathered at the fair, a different kind of gathering. Expatriates came out of their boring lives and enjoyed the joyous festival at this gathering.
The event started on the first day from the local Shaheed Minar. Fifty poets, writers and writers participated in the two-day book fair organized by Anyamela.
The book fair featured over 500 books of various genres in 25 book stalls. 170 people were honored for their contributions in various categories by the book fair. Local Mayor Olivia Chao and MP Dolly Begum were present at the event.
At the book fair, various cultural organizations in Toronto entertained the audience with dance, songs, and recitations. The event was brightened by performances by renowned artists from Bangladesh.
The organizers said that the main goal of the Toronto Bangla Book Fair is to showcase Bangla, the language of life, to the world and to keep our art, literature, and culture alive from generation to generation.
It is worth noting that the Toronto Book Fair has been organized for the past 20 years under the leadership of Saadi Ahmed. It is worth noting that next year, the 21st Toronto Book Fair will be held on May 29 and 30, 2027.
