'Calgary Bangla Ensemble' is going to stage its first Bengali theater production of the play 'Aram Amalera' at the BMO Center in Rocky Ridge Northwest, Calgary, Canada. This play will be staged on Saturday 16th September at 6 pm.
Tasfin Hossain Tapu, director of drama and assistant professor of the finance department of the Mount Royal University of Calgary, said, "We are going to stage the Bengali Ensemble of Calgary's play 'Our Amalera' with the determination to preserve the history and traditions of Bengali culture in the diaspora and to free children and teenagers from the clutches of many cultures.
The production manager of the play, Jayant Basu, said that the unique feature of the play is that it is going to be a Bengali play for the first time in Calgary where most of the artists are our new generation of children growing up in Calgary. Along with this, there are prominent artists from the established theater and cultural arena.
The play was directed by Tasfin Hossain Tapu.
Mahbooba Noor Anu, Teerth Saha, Arshia Salehin, Dia Chakraborty, Keyan Chowdhury, Tasfin Hossain, Reena Tajreen, Umme Tanya Ipa, Khayer Khondkar Rubel, Adhara Raima Mazumder, Samya Roy, Snigdha Roy, Tanveer Chowdhury Joy, Nadia Hasan acted in various roles . , Manha Khan, Zaira Chowdhury, Sharmin Sultana, Zafira Elahin Hossain, Arisha Hasan, Mahveen Moin, and Mavisa Moin.
The play is produced by Jayant Basu, Assistant Production Manager by Khair Khondkar Rubel and Shuvo Majumdar.
