3 Bangladeshis killed in clash between colleagues in Malaysia

Three Bangladeshis have been killed in a clash between colleagues in Malaysia. Another Bangladeshi is seriously injured in the incident and is undergoing treatment in hospital. The identities of the dead and injured have not been released yet.

The incident took place at a house in Taman Ling, Negri Sembilan province, near the capital Kuala Lumpur, on Monday (August 3) afternoon. Police later recovered the bodies of the three Bangladeshis from the scene and surrounding areas.

On Tuesday (August 4), Malaysian media outlet New Straits Times reported, citing Negri Sembilan police , that the police received reports of a fight between some Bangladeshis at a house in Taman Linggi at around 4:15 pm local time. After receiving information from locals, a team from Linggi police station quickly rushed to the scene.

Police went and arrested a Bangladeshi national. He is approximately 40 years old. Later, based on the initial investigation, the bodies of two people were first recovered from the Sua Mangis Estate area of ​​Lingir. Later, the body of another person was recovered. Another Bangladeshi injured in the same incident has been admitted to Rembau Hospital.

Negri Sembilan police chief Datuk Aljafni Ahmad said the people involved in the clash were all colleagues. They worked at the same place and lived in the same house.

The initial police estimate is that the clash may have occurred at multiple locations. However, it is not yet clear what triggered the clash between the colleagues. An investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the incident.

Police said the suspect, who has no previous criminal record, is scheduled to appear in the Port Dickson Magistrate's Court on Tuesday to apply for remand.

Malaysian police are also investigating whether anyone else was involved in the incident and identifying the victims.
