The body of Rabiul Hasan Robin (35), a resident of Titas Upazila in Comilla, was recovered from a garbage dumpster of an under-construction building in the Bukit Jalil area of the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur by local police. The deceased's family has claimed that the incident was a murder. The deceased, Rabiul Hasan Robin, is the son of the deceased Abdur Rahman of Kalai Gobindapur village in Balrampur Union of Titas Upazila.

According to family sources, Robin went to Malaysia in September 2023. Although he was initially working in the Shah Alam area, he joined a new job at a Chinese construction company in the Bukit Jalil area about 15 days ago. He had been missing since going to work last Monday morning. His body was recovered from a dumpster inside the under-construction building on Tuesday afternoon. The body is currently kept at the Malaysian Immigration Department morgue.

The deceased's father-in-law, Md. Rashid Mia alleged that after joining the new workplace, Robin was given the responsibility of calculating the salaries of the workers. A dispute arose among the colleagues over this responsibility. The family believes that due to that dispute, he was deliberately killed and his body was dumped in a dumper.

Robin has a 15-year-old son, a 5-year-old daughter and a 2-year-old son. A shadow of mourning has fallen on the area following his death.

Titas Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Mahmudur Rahman said that if the family of the deceased submits a written request, the administration will take necessary measures to bring the body back to the country.
