The inauguration of the newly formed committee of the 'Bangladesh Community of Porto' and a Bangla fair were held in the port city of Porto, Portugal.
The inauguration of the Bangla Mela was held on Saturday (September 27) at 4 pm local time. Laila Muntajeri Dina, Consular Chief of the Bangladesh Embassy in Portugal, was the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony. Also present at the ceremony were Portugal Bangla Press Club President Rony Mohammad, former president Russell Ahmed, Publicity and Office Secretary Hafiz Al Asad, and young businessman Emon Ahmed.
The organization's chief advisor, Mosharraf Hossain Kiron, announced the newly formed 65-member Bangladesh Community of Porto committee, with Shah Alam Kajal as president, Abdul Alim as general secretary, and Masum Rahman as organizing secretary.
Later, the new committee members were welcomed by the organization with flowers. Following the inauguration ceremony, a cultural program was held, providing entertainment. In addition to local artists from Portugal, artists from London enthralled the port city of Porto.
The members of the newly formed committee are: Office Secretary, Md. Delwar Hossain, Treasurer, Abu Saleh Emon, Publicity Secretary, Arafat Hossain, Shariful Islam, Shah Jamal Azad, Abul Kalam Azad, Monir Hossain, Mohammad Alam Tipu, Belal Hossain, Shahid Master, Delwar Hossain, Masum Rahman, Emon Saha, Arafat Rahman, Saiful Islam, Al-Mamun Sarkar, and others.
