Rokeya Haider, convener of the 'New York International Bangla Book Fair'

Rokeya Haider, former head of the Voice of America's Bengali department, has been named the New York International Bangla Book Fair-2025 convener. The four-day book fair will be held from May 24 to 27 at the Jamaica Performing Arts Center in Queens, New York City.

The decision was taken unanimously at the virtual meeting of the Muktadhara Foundation's executive committee on December 27, said the concerned people. After being nominated as the convener, Rokeya Haider sought everyone's help to celebrate the 2025 festival fairly and successfully.

It is worth noting that Hasan Ferdous, Vice Chairman of the Muktadhara Foundation, served as the convener of the 2024 New York International Bangla Book Fair. 

It is also worth noting that Muktadhara Foundation advisor Rokeya Haider served as the convener of the New York International Bangla Book Fair in 2015.
