Zarif left after a close fight with death

A Bangladeshi youth named Zarif Ibraj Ahsan (21 years old), who was injured in a road accident in Pickering, Ontario, Canada, died after fighting for seven days.

He breathed his last at Sunnybrook Hospital on Tuesday (June 10) afternoon. He was seriously injured in a road accident near Pickering, Ontario, on June 4 at around 4 pm local time.

Zarif Ibraj Afsan was training to become a pilot in Canada. His father, Sayeed Mohammad Ahsan, is a pilot for Bangladesh's private airline, US Bangla. His mother, Taifa Zubair, is an early childhood educator in Canada.

His funeral will be held at the Pickering Islamic Center on Wednesday (June 11) afternoon local time. As the news of his death spread in the community, a shadow of grief fell.
