A lively literary gathering was organized by literature lovers living in Australia's Gold Coast and Brisbane to mark the arrival of renowned novelist and poet Diltaj Rahman. The event was held at Pacific Pines on the Gold Coast at 4 pm on Saturday.

The literary gathering, held in an informal and intimate atmosphere, featured the audience engaging in poetry, stories, reminiscences, and open discussions. Guest poet Diltaj Rahman delivered a valuable speech on his literary practice experience and contemporary literature, which deeply impressed the audience.

An important and emotional part of the program was the inauguration of the Shaheed Minar. Sharmin Chowdhury, the daughter of martyred Professor Habibur Rahman in the great Liberation War, officially inaugurated the Shaheed Minar. At this stage, a minute's silence was observed to remember the sacrifices of the Language Movement and the Liberation War.

Organizers Mohibul Alam and Farida Alam Jolly said in their speech that the main purpose of this event is to preserve the Bengali language, literature, and history in the diaspora. They expressed hope that such literary gatherings will play an important role in keeping the cultural consciousness alive among the diaspora generation in the future as well.

The event was attended by literary enthusiasts, cultural activists, and community figures from different parts of the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
