A rally was held in Paris by Bangladeshi citizens demanding voting rights for expatriates. The main point of the rally was that expatriates have made important contributions to national life and the democratic movement in addition to keeping the country's economy running, yet the government has not shown due sincerity in implementing their voting rights in the past 54 years.

The rally held in front of the Bangladesh Embassy in Paris was presided over by Bangladeshi Nagorik Parishad, French President Abul Khair Lasbar, and conducted by Secretary Imran Ahmed. The organization's advisor community figure Muhammad Nazrul Islam spoke as the chief guest, while Vice Chairman Golam Faruk Bhuiyan, AISA Director Obaidullah Koyesh, online activist Mir Jahan, journalist leader Muhammad Nurul Islam, Barisal Community Secretary Monirul Islam, Paris Bangla Press Club President Enayet Hussain Suhel and other leaders spoke. Sashodha Sheikh spoke in French, and a group of Paris artists performed patriotic songs.

Speakers stated that the diaspora has demonstrated solidarity with the people of Bangladesh during the anti-fascist mass uprising and has played a crucial role in the struggle for change through the remittance ban movement and other initiatives. The diaspora has been providing support through their relatives and friends, offering assistance in the country's crises and natural disasters.
