2 Bangladeshis killed in a road accident in Saudi Arabia

Two Bangladeshi youths from Lakshmipur Sadar Upazila have been killed in a road accident in Saudi Arabia. Harun's father, Taslim Uddin Chhayal, confirmed the death to the media on Tuesday (June 2) afternoon. 

The deceased is Md. Harun (32), a resident of Uttar Hamsadi village in Sadar upazila, and his close friend, Md. Russell (31). The incident of living together in exile for a long time and finally leaving for the country together, from which they never returned, is now causing mourning throughout the village of Uttar Hamsadi. 

Lakshmipur Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Kathoypru Marma expressed deep sorrow and said, "We have heard about the death of two youths abroad and it is very painful. Necessary coordination will be made with the concerned Expatriate Welfare Ministry and the embassy of the government to bring the bodies of the deceased back to Bangladesh quickly and safely. In addition, if the affected families apply to the upazila administration for bringing the bodies back to the country and for government financial assistance, the administration will provide them with all kinds of comprehensive cooperation, he assured.
