Bangladeshi expatriate dies after being crushed under a crane in Malaysia

A Bangladeshi expatriate has died after being crushed under a 'spider lift' crane on Jalan Perak, Malaysia. He was the crane's operator.

ACP Mohammad Jamjuri Mohammad Isa, head of the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department, said the accident happened at around 10:30 pm on Friday. He was working on a billboard by the roadside.  

Initial investigation revealed that the crane got stuck on the sidewalk. It was operated remotely. The crane lost control and overturned after getting stuck on the sidewalk. The Bangladeshi expatriate worker was crushed under it.

In addition, two cars were also struck by the crane's weight. However, none of the passengers inside the cars were injured.

A doctor from Kuala Lumpur Hospital rushed to the scene after he was crushed under the crane and declared him dead on the spot.
