The funeral prayers for the two Bangladeshis who died in a canoe capsizing in Canada have been completed.
Their funeral prayers were held at the Sunnatul Jamaat Mosque, 347 Denforth Road, Toronto, after Asr prayer on Wednesday, Canadian local time. A large number of expatriate Bangladeshis participated in the prayers.
The Bangladesh High Commission Office in Canada said that the bodies of the deceased Rakib and Captain Saif will be sent to Dhaka by direct flight from Canada today.
According to family sources, the two will be buried at the Bangladesh Air Force Cemetery in Dhaka after Zuhr on Saturday.
On the 8th, Saifuzzaman Guddu, an experienced captain of Bangladesh Biman's Boeing 787, and his close friend Abdullahil Rakib, former vice president of BGMEA and managing director of Team Group, drowned while canoeing in a lake adjacent to a cottage in Linzi, Ontario.
