Two Bangladeshis killed in Israeli drone attack in Lebanon

Two Bangladeshi workers were killed in an Israeli drone strike in southern Lebanon. The attack took place at around 12 noon local time on Monday at a residence in the Jebdin area of ​​Nabatieh. Both of the deceased were residents of Satkhira district.

The Bangladesh Embassy in Beirut confirmed the information in a condolence message. The two deceased were identified as Shafiqul Islam, son of Afsar Ali of Bhaluka Chandpur village in Satkhira Sadar upazila, and Md. Nahidul Islam, son of Md. Abdul Kader of Kadakati village in Ashashuni upazila.

Earlier in the night, a senior official at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the death of two Bangladeshi workers, citing the Bangladesh Embassy in Lebanon.

The embassy said the bodies of the two victims have been deposited at Nabih Berri Hospital in Nabatieh. The embassy expressed its deepest condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased.

Earlier, another Bangladeshi female worker, Deepali Begum, was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut on April 8.
