Two more Bangladeshis were killed in another road accident in Johor province, Malaysia, on Friday night. Earlier on the same day, on Friday evening, three Bangladeshis were killed in a road accident on the Kuantan highway in Malaysia's east coastal state of Pahang.
Malaysian media outlet Malay Mail reported that the accident occurred at around 8:45 pm on Friday (August 1) in the Parit Salam Parit Yusuf area of Muar, Johor state. Police said that three Bangladeshi nationals were riding their bicycles in the opposite direction from Parit Yusuf in Muar towards Bukit More. At that time, a car hit their bicycles, knocking the three to the side of the road. Two of them suffered serious head and body injuries.
Police also said that one of the injured died on the spot. The other two were taken to the Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital in Muar. Another one died while undergoing treatment there. The other is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Police are searching for the unidentified vehicle and driver responsible for the accident. They have appealed to the public to contact the police immediately if anyone has any information about the incident.
Meanwhile, earlier on Friday (August 1) at around 7:30 pm local time, three Bangladeshi nationals, Md. Saber Hasan (30), Md. Zahid Hasan (21) and Abdullah (24) were killed in an accident on the Kuantan Highway in Malaysia's eastern coastal state of Pahang. Two other Bangladeshis were injured in the incident.
