Meetup for parents of children with special needs in Minto, Sydney

The Sydney Bangla Women's Network (SBWN) has organized a tea-drinking and networking get-together for parents of children with special needs in Sydney, Australia. The event was held on Saturday (September 12) at the open space behind the Rann Moor Community Centre in Minto.

In the sunny weather and green surroundings, the parents who participated in the event discussed their experiences, various issues, and mutual cooperation. The event became lively, especially with the mothers' stories, songs, and chats.

The organizers said that the main purpose of the event was to increase familiarity, communication and mutual cooperation among parents of children with special needs. In addition, one of the goals of the event was to create an opportunity to share their experiences and feelings. Some mothers who participated in the event expressed their feelings and said, "We have found our safe place."

SBWN has long been working to promote social equality, inclusion and a safe and supportive environment in the Bangladeshi community in Australia. One of the organization's initiatives is to stand by children with special needs and their families and to increase communication and cooperation between parents. Along with the mothers, several fathers also actively participated in the event. The organizers expressed their gratitude to the mothers for supporting them in addition to their children and family responsibilities.

The organizers also thanked Probasi TV Australia, Kamal Pasha, and journalist Naeem Abdullah for their presence at the event and their cooperation in bringing the news and activities of the event to the wider community.
