The country's Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) has given special good news for expatriate Bangladeshis living in the United Arab Emirates.
In a special announcement, it was announced that those whose residency visas have expired will now be able to return directly to the Emirates without a new 'entry permit'.
Due to the recent Iran-Israel tensions and the emerging situation in the Middle East, many expatriates were unable to return to the Emirates on time. In addition, the UAE government has taken this flexible decision considering the expatriates who are stranded in the country for personal or emergency reasons. The UAE government has taken this step mainly to reduce administrative complications and return expatriates to their workplaces.
This opportunity, which began on February 28, will continue until March 31. For those who have a valid residency visa and have lost their visa due to special circumstances, the Emirates government said that this initiative is essentially part of a humanitarian and flexible administrative system that will facilitate the return of expatriates to their workplaces.
