Bangladesh Embassy's urgent instructions for Saudi expatriates

The Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh has issued new instructions making appointments mandatory for Bangladeshi expatriates residing in Saudi Arabia to avail of the biometric facility for e-passports.

The embassy's emergency notice said the decision was taken at the request of local authorities as the excessive presence of applicants was causing chaos in and around the office area.

No further biometrics will be accepted from Wednesday, September 9, except by appointment. To participate in the biometric provision process for e-passport, service recipients have been instructed to schedule a date in advance using the link on the embassy's own portal.

However, those whose application date and time have already been confirmed can attend the embassy at the pre-scheduled time and complete the biometric process.

The embassy authorities have urged expatriates to follow the set policies and guidelines to ensure service delivery in an orderly manner while avoiding crowds.
