Bangladeshis urged not to join processions and rallies in the Maldives

The Bangladesh Embassy in the Maldives has urged Bangladeshis residing in the Maldives not to attend political rallies and processions.

The Bangladesh Embassy made this call in a message on Tuesday.

It says that it is completely prohibited for Bangladeshis residing in the Maldives to participate in or be present at any political gathering, procession or movement. Engaging in such activities may result in arrest, fine or deportation. Therefore, do not participate in any political activities and do not go near such places. Focus on your work and obey local laws and regulations.

Your safety and compliance with the rules is also of great importance to the Bangladesh High Commission.
