Habiganj District Council Administrator Detained in Saudi Arabia

Habiganj District Council Administrator Ahmed Ali Mukib is in the custody of law enforcement agencies in Saudi Arabia due to complications related to paperwork. 

The Bangladesh government is continuing diplomatic efforts to identify Ahmed Ali Mukib's whereabouts and secure his early release, a responsible diplomatic source based in Riyadh and Jeddah confirmed. 

Sources said that consular access has been sought from the Bangladesh Embassy and Consulate to communicate with BNP's International Affairs Secretary and Habiganj District Council Administrator Ahmed Ali Mukib.

However, so far, the Saudi government has not officially provided the Bangladesh government with detailed information about the location or current situation of the detained Ahmed Ali.
