Saudi Arabia arrested 14,260 migrants in one week.

Saudi Arabia's security authorities have arrested 14,260 illegal immigrants in a week, the interior ministry said on Saturday, adding that the arrests were made in a joint operation by security forces in cooperation with relevant government agencies between August 13 and 19.

Of these, 6,900 were arrested for housing law violations, 3,982 for border security law violations, and 3,318 for labor law violations. In addition, a total of 13,724 illegal immigrants were deported from the country. In addition, 18,808 violators were sent to the relevant diplomatic missions to collect travel documents, and 5,318 violators were sent to complete the ticket reservation process.

In addition, a total of 1,524 people were arrested while trying to illegally cross the Saudi Arabian border, of which 36 percent were Yemeni citizens, 63 percent Ethiopian citizens, and 1 percent from other countries.

In addition, 38 people were arrested while trying to leave Saudi Arabia illegally. 

24 people involved in arranging travel, shelter and employment for lawbreakers were also arrested.

Currently, legal action is being taken against a total of 31,922 immigrants, including 29,961 men and 1,961 women.

The country's Interior Ministry said that anyone who helps people enter Saudi Arabia illegally, arranges for their travel within the country, shelters them, or provides any other type of assistance or service will be sentenced to a maximum of 15 years in prison and a maximum fine of 1 million Saudi riyals. In addition, the vehicle used for travel or the house used for shelter will be confiscated.
