Victory Day celebrated at Bangladesh High Commission in Malaysia

The Great Victory Day-2025 was celebrated with due dignity and festive atmosphere at the Bangladesh High Commission in Malaysia. The ceremony officially began with the hoisting of the national flag of Bangladesh at 10 am today, Tuesday.

Bangladesh High Commissioner to Malaysia Manjurul Karim Khan Chowdhury hoisted the national flag. After the flag hoisting, a discussion meeting and cultural program were held at the High Commission auditorium.

The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. After that, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the brave martyrs of the great Liberation War of 1971 and the uprising of 1924.

The program included the reading of messages from His Excellency the President and the Honorable Chief Advisor, as well as a documentary on the great liberation war of Bangladesh. This was followed by patriotic music performed by expatriate students and High Commission staff.

In his speech, the High Commissioner paid deep respect to the memory of all the martyrs of the great Liberation War of 1971 and the July 24 Uprising and remembered the contribution of the brave warriors with gratitude. He referred to Victory Day as a symbol of our struggle, sacrifice, and the dignity of independence.

The High Commissioner praised the role and contributions of the diaspora in Bangladesh's economic progress and in various critical junctures of the nation. He called on everyone to work together for the successful implementation of the aspirations of the martyrs and brave warriors of 71 and 24.
