Police have recovered the bodies of two Bangladeshi youths from a rented house in Malacca, the ancient capital of Malaysia. Initial police suspicions are that the tragic incident may have been the result of a family feud and a fight over emotional stress.
Local police recovered the two bodies around 7 pm on Tuesday (October 14).
Local witnesses said that shortly before the incident, a fight and loud screams were heard from the house between two young men. Later, one of their roommates returned home and found the two dead.
A local resident named Juhaili said that when he entered the house, he saw the kitchen utensils lying in a mess. One person was lying face down on the floor in a bloody state. The other person had probably hanged himself, but the door of the house was locked from the inside at the time. Later, the police broke down the door and recovered the two bodies.
Juhaili added that the two young men who died had been renting the house for about six months and working as laborers at a nearby construction site. The younger of the deceased was married to an Indonesian woman and they had a child. However, about two weeks ago, his wife left with the child.
Juhaili claims that she has heard the sounds of her husband and wife arguing before. The wife would often scold her husband about work. She thinks that such a tragic incident could have started from that mental stress.
Police said that a forensic team and police reached the spot at around 10:45 pm and recovered the two bodies. An investigation is underway to uncover the exact cause of the incident.
