AQM Badruddoza, a prominent Bangladeshi expatriate in the United States, has passed away (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun).
He died of a heart attack on the night of June 28 at Penn William Medicine Hospital in New Jersey.
He was born on November 9, 1938, in a respectable Muslim family in Mithashara village, Mirsarai upazila, Chittagong. AQM Badruddoja was one of the few personalities who helped start Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
From the very beginning, he served as station manager at almost all of Biman's destinations, including London in the UK, Frankfurt in Germany, Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Kuwait, Qatar, and Singapore, and quickly brightened the image of Biman and Bangladesh.
He lived a very simple life and used his income, time, and tireless work to establish many schools, colleges, madrasas, and mosques in the country. His heart was infinitely open to serving the needy humanity.
He also had a rare talent in various cultural activities. He was a first-class musician of Bangladesh Betar and BTV. He was a lyricist and an extraordinary composer. The charm of his personality was so charming that the audience would burst into joy and happiness whenever he sang on stage. In addition to modern, Nazrul Sangeet, Rabindra Sangeet, he was equally adept in folk music.
In his death, Bangladesh lost a true patriot with an outstanding heart and talent. At the time of his death, he left behind two daughters and a son, in addition to countless fans and admirers. They are determined to complete the unfinished work of AQM Badruddoja.
