The Bangladesh Nationalist Volunteer Party Malaysia branch organized a prayer and Milad Mahfil to pray for the eternal peace of the late BNP Chairperson and three-time former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.
The prayer and Milad Mahfil were held at the Al-Bukhari Mosque in Kuala Lumpur after Asr prayer on Sunday (January 11) local time. After recitation and dhikr from the Holy Quran, special prayers were offered for the forgiveness of the souls of Begum Khaleda Zia, martyred President Ziaur Rahman and Arafat Rahman Koko.
The event, organized under the chairmanship of Dr. SM Rahman Tonu, Convener of the Bangladesh Nationalist Volunteer Party Malaysia Branch, and moderated by Member Secretary Shamsul Alam Sikder, was attended by BNP Malaysia Branch Deputy General Secretary Fazlul Karim Sohrab, Md. Kazi Salauddin, Office Secretary Aminul Islam Ratan, Deputy Finance Secretary Kalam, BNP member and youth leader, Md. Jasim Uddin, Bukit Bintang BNP President Anwar Selim, Deputy General Secretary Zakaria, Penang Metropolitan BNP member Minhajul Kabir, JASAS Malaysia Branch Convener Asaduzzaman Masum, Jubo Dal Malaysia Branch Vice President Sheikh Selim, Sramik Dal leader Abul Bashar, Jubo Dal Johor Province Branch President Md. Jalal Uddin Hasan, Penang Metropolitan Jubo Dal General Secretary Sagar.
Also present were youth leader Miraj Majhi, Md. Babu, Volunteer Party Joint Convener Ali Khan Jewel, Golam Kabir, Imran Hossain, Mosharraf Hossain (Hridoy), Mohammad Al Amin Kazi, MM Mozammel Haque, MM Saheb Sultan Maruf, Akhter Hossain, Mahfuzur Rahman, Md. Mohiuddin, Tarek Salam, Md. Mizanur Rahman, members Akhter Gazi, Md. Hasibul Islam, Sohel Molla, Azizul Haque, Alim Ullah, Abdul Wadud Tota, Forkan Shah, Saiful Islam, Palash Talukder, Uttam Kumar Chowdhury, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Awlad Hossain, Md. Sajib, Ariful Islam, Md. Iqbal Hossain, Mohammad Jewel, Golam Rasul, Rakibul Hasan, Md. Jewel Hossain, Md. Shah Zaman, Md. Osman Gani, Md. Jasim Uddin, Md. Abul Hossain and other leaders. After the prayer and Milad Mahfil, food was distributed among local devotees, orphans and general expatriates.
